Khopra Danda Trek, Khopra Ridge Trek, or Khayer Lake Trek, whatever the name is, the trek is the same. Khopra Danda Trek is a recently popularized trekking experience in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Routes of this excursion are least explored by the tourists but people who have been to the famous Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek must have heard about it once. Nepal Mountain Trekkers have designed the package in such a way that one can get the taste of so many treks within this single journey.
Pokhara, Ghorepani and Annapurna Conservation Area
Our Khopra Danda Trek journey begins from the beautiful lake city of Pokhara, which is obviously known as a gateway to all the trekking routes in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Then following the trail via Nayapul and Tikedhunga, we will head towards the famous viewpoint and tourist hub, Ghorepani Poon Hill. Passing by rhododendrons and pine forests with a moderate hike and exploring more about floras and faunas in the Annapurna Conservation Area, our journey begins and continues ahead.
Adventure,Tingling and the Jaw-dropping Panoramas
Suspension bridges and the adventure and tingling it gives while crossing is admired by most tourists during the trek. The cascading waterfalls and rivers with azure water flowing endlessly are waiting on the track to soothe you. Panoramic views of Annapurna ranges and other peaks including Dhaulagiri I, Gurja, Nilgiri South, Tukuche Peak, Thapa Peak, Dhaulagiri II, Dhaulagiri III, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal is jaw-dropping during Khopra Danda Trek.
Lifestyle and Culture
Lifestyle and culture of diverse ethnic groups like Gurung, Magar, Brahmin, Chhetri and Dalits is a major attraction of Khopra Danda Trek. Several small settlements and traditional villages along the trail offer us such remarkable occasions to have a deep insight about the lifestyle, traditions, foods, festivals and many more. Imagine sighting wonderous sceneries from an insightful local village and getting rejoiced during the trek.
Hike up to Khayer Lake
The most prominent aspect of Khopra Danda Trek is a hike up to Khayer lake after we ultimately set our feet at Khopra Danda. Khayer Lake is a pristine lake at a maximum altitude of 4,660m/15,285ft offering mind-blowing sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. A walk up to there will give you a proper experience of jungle walk mingling with flora, faunas and the very best of nature.
Eligibility and Time-frame for Khopra Danda Trek
Without any boundaries of time-frame, age limit, profession or hobbies; Khopra Danda Trek can be joined any time around the year by anyone interested in having a remarkable experience for the lifetime. However, it is a matter of a fact that Khopra Danda Trek is best from March to May of Spring season. It is because of the vivid weather and blossoming of Rhododendron flower and other vegetations abundantly along the trail. Whereas, from September to November of Autumn season is considered as the best time-frame to embark on this trek for unhindered panoramic views of Himalayas.
